«Ayg» Center for psychological services was established in 2005 to make available psychological support for different groups of the society, to promote fostering and improvement of peoples’ mental health, as well as to boost the development of Practical Psychology and Psychology as a specialization in Armenia.
Within the years, a professional team of leading and highly qualified specialists having great experience of psychological work was created by the center. Our specialists follow the code of ethics fixed at the organization and including the following major principles:

- responsibility
- exclusion of discrimination
- professional competency
Within 19 years, “AYG” center for psychological services provided psychological consultancy to 17280 clients and performed 138475 visits.
The trainings and courses organized at the center served 1660 individuals, of which 1551 were awarded relevant certificates.
The specialists of the center organized more than 179 seminar courses on different psychological topics at “AYG” center for psychological services, at Yerevan schools, as well as in other organizations. The center organized 13 international conferences and thematic discussions. One collection of conference materials was published.
More than 780 students of the faculty of psychology from the Scientific-educational International Center of the NAS RA, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov, Yerevan Northern University and Russian-Armenian Modern Humanitarian Institute underwent their traineeship, academic, pre-diploma and scientific-research internships at “AYG” center for psychological services. The center also provided professional support to more than two dozens of schools.
“AYG” center for psychological services is the basic center for applied psychology of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University.
For the whole period of its activity, the center successfully cooperated and currently cooperates with state and non-state structures, international and non-governmental organizations, health and educational institutions and professional centers.
In order to make the center activities more complex, comprehensive and efficient, representatives of adjacent specialties (neurologists, psychiatrists, defectology specialists, special education teachers, etc.) are involved in teamwork activities as requested. Practice exchange is organized with foreign partners, particularly with specialists from US, Russia and France.
Till now Skype counseling was provided to people from USA, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Georgia, Japan, Greece, Sweden, Dubai (UAE), Angola, Australia, Philipins.
The center specialists also actively cooperate with different media (TV/radio stations, newspapers, magazines, internet periodicals), come up with press conferences, publications, professional comments and interviews.

Psycho-correctional works with autistic children. ABA method techniques, art therapy, play therapy are applied. At the same time, counseling the parents of autistic children is provided.
Provision of biofeedback therapy – correction of different psychophysiological disorders and psychological problems according to biological feedback mechanism and through modern equipment, as well as conduction of active procedure of neurorehabilitation after a number of diseases.
Professional support for an adequate career choice corresponding to one’s abilities, personal specifications and interests.
Logopedist counseling for children and their relatives with verbal and written speech disorders.
Individual and group supervision for mental health specialists.

Ministry of Economics of the RA – Assessment of motivation level and work efficiency among the staff and psychological selection of employees.
Ministry of Defense of the RA – Revealing the factors promoting and/or hindering military service and developing suggestions on increasing the efficiency of military service.
Ministry of Defense of the RA – 1.Research of personal characteristics and psychological specifications required for a future officer was carried out among the recruits admitted to the Military Institute after V. Sargsyan. Based on research results, psychological selection of 76 applicants was organized. 2.Provision of psychological counseling.
Ministry of Justice of the RA – Training of correctional officers (about 1800 officers within security, medical care and rehabilitation units)
Prosecutor’s School of the RA – Psychological training of the RA and Nagorno Karabakh prosecutors, training, psychological assessment and selection of candidates for prosecutor’s position.
